Gary Richard Wheeler

Hudson - Gary Richard Wheeler, 78, died on January 24, 2024. He was born in Jacksonville, FL and received his MBA from Rollins College. Gary grew up in Melbourne, FL and graduated from Mel High in 1963. He was a labor relations officer and director by profession and an adventurer by nature. While working in his profession he and his beloved wife Paula lived on their sailboat for six years. In the early 1990s they left their careers to embark on a life of travel and adventure. They spent years roaming the world including many camping trips, some lasting months at a time. Gary and Paula were fitness buffs and avid hikers as well as bicyclists. More recently they made their home in Hudson, FL spending time vegetable gardening and fishing. He is survived by his grieving wife, Paula Seiler Wheeler and his sons, Brian Wheeler and Brett Wheeler. Gary died as a result of a failed clinical trial for colorectal cancer sponsored by Agenus Corporation. Prevatt Funeral Home.
