He was born in Council Bluffs on December 24, 1941.
Gary was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Storey; daughter, Jody Parker; sister, Diane Bare.
Gary is survived by his wife, Janice Storey; sons, Gary Storey, Jason Storey and his wife, Holly; mother, Dorothy Storey; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dennis and JoAnn Storey, David and Suzanne Storey; sisters and brothers-in-law, Janis and Dennis Foote, Marsha and Doug Miller; 3 grandchildren, Gary Storey II, Mackenzie Storey and J.J. Storey.
Memorial service will be Tuesday, 11 a.m., at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home, with family receiving friends during the hour prior to the service. Military Honors at the funeral home by the American Legion Rainbow Post #2. A reception will follow the service at the American Legion Rainbow Post #2. The family will direct memorials.

sorry for the loss he was a good man one time I remember taking scotty ther to store a bed then I neeed to borrow a chain to remove things off my rental property he let me use it pus I got to use a saw of his once last time I seen him he was overworking himself an tols me what wa wrong with him but kept talking to me he was a good man plus him an his wife once loaned me money he was a lot like my dad storey family had a great loss

Storey Family Lost A Good Guy I Remember one Day Scotty an Me Brought a Bed Ther he was nic enuff to let him keep I needed a chain to pul something outta my rental property he let us borrow one he was a real ice guy told me wen I wanted to pretty up my property who cares wat ppl think showed he was a simple guy last time I seen him he talked to me a bit told me about his health and he needed to take it asy but seemed to wana keep doing his thing kept him going til he couldn't my dad wil proly go that way too
