Gary R. Thayer, age 33, died Thursday September 5, 2019 in Manchester, NH. He was born on February 28, 1986 in Lowell, MA, the son of the late Raymond L. Thayer and Karen (Boudreau) Remillard. Gary graduated from Manchester Memorial High School in June, 2005. He was attending the NH School of Mechanical Trades, where he was pursuing a plumbing degree. He was also concurrently employed doing excavating and landscaping while enthusiastically pursuing his schooling. Gary loved the outdoors, and enjoyed spending time snowboarding, swimming, boating and competing at water sports. He was an avid football and sports fan, and followed the Patriots and the Red Sox closely. He was very connected with his family, and spent any moment he could in their company, often posting photos of his family time. His friends routinely commented on his fantastic smile, and happy energy. Gary was a supportive and involved uncle, loving his time spent with his niece, Gia. He introduced her to a lot of her 'firsts', including her first tubing ride, and tractor ride. Gary was predeceased by Rose and Dale Thayer, his paternal grandparents. Also included were his maternal grandmother, Lucette Boudreau, his aunt Susan McHugh, his uncle Daniel Thayer, and his cousin Craig Boudreau. Gary leaves behind his mother Karen Remillard, his step-father Allen Remillard, his two sisters Tasha Morrissette and Meagan Peterson, his step-brothers Nate and Adam Remillard, and the apple of his eye, his niece Gia. He is survived by his maternal grandparents, Raymond and Solanges Boudreau. Gary also leaves behind his girlfriend Julie Vasconcellos. Lastly, Gary will greatly be missed by countless surviving aunts, uncles, and cousins. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2pm, Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at Tewksbury Cemetery, in Tewksbury, MA. Family and friends are invited to attend the graveside service.
