Jamison was baptized at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Audubon on Oct. 13, 2002. He attended Audubon Community Schools where he was in the 8th grade. Jamison was currently an active member in FFA, played trumpet in the Junior High band and a member of the Junior High choir. He loved sports and participated in football, basketball, track, cross country, tennis, golf and baseball. His relay team was State Champions in track this year in the shuttle hurdle relay and broke the State record and Jamison was also State Champion in the 100 meter hurdles. In 2011, he was the Knights of Columbus State Free Throw Champion.
Jamison was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Audubon where he was active in Sunday School, Kids Choir from 2nd-6th grade, devotedly attended the confirmation program and was part of the Rock Youth Group. He loved anything to do with sports and music and really enjoyed spending time with his friends, family, and brothers. In Jamison's spare time, you would find him tossing a football or playing basketball with his friends, brothers or Mom or Dad. In the evenings, you would hear the voice of an angel coming out of his room as he played his keyboard, played guitar and sang. Jamison was an outgoing, kind spirited young man who always had a huge, beautiful smile for everyone he met.
Gavin Michael Steckler, the son of Toby Ray and Pamela Kay (Bauer) Steckler was born May 11, 2005, at the Audubon County Memorial Hospital in Audubon, and died Dec. 10, 2016, in an auto accident in Cass County, Iowa at the age of 11 years, 6 months, and 29 days.
Gavin was baptized at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Audubon on July 24, 2005. He attended Audubon Community Schools where he was in the 5th grade. Gavin was active in the youth Warrior football program and was very excited to be quarterback in the 6th grade. He was currently playing basketball and looked forward to summer sports of baseball, golf, and tennis.
Gavin was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Audubon where he was very active in Sunday School and Kids Choir his 2nd-4th grade year. Gavin loved music, played trombone in the middle school band and sang in the middle school choir. Even though Gavin didn't let many hear him sing, he followed in Jamison's footsteps and also had the voice of an angel. Gavin loved sports and enjoyed hanging out with his friends, family and brothers. Gavin had a quiet but silly personality and a contagious, beautiful laugh.  Both Jamison and Gavin were friends with everyone and they both had the biggest hearts. They met many friends through sporting, music, church activities and scouting events. Nothing meant more than family and friends to both Jamison & Gavin. When the boys weren't playing sports, you would find them cheering on the Steelers or the Hawkeyes or watching whatever sports they could find on tv.
Preceding them in death were their paternal grandfather Norbert Steckler; their grandfather Floyd Meidinger; their maternal grandfather Carter Bauer; and by their great grandparents.
Jamison and Gavin are survived by their parents: Toby and Pam Steckler of Audubon, Iowa; their brother Mason Steckler of Audubon; their paternal grandmother Nicki Meidinger of Aberdeen, S.D.; their maternal grandmother Sandra Bauer of Mound City, S.D.; their aunts and uncles: Kevin and wife Michelle Steckler of Garretson, S.D.; Keenan and wife Donna Steckler of Aberdeen; Kyle and wife Jennifer Steckler of Beaver Lake, Neb.; Jon and wife Erin Steckler of Minneapolis, Minn.; Aaron Steckler of Rochester, Minn.; Mitchell Steckler of Minneapolis; Chad and wife Jennifer Bauer of Sioux Falls, S.D.; numerous cousins, other relatives and many friends.
