Genaro Montelongo Saucedo, 67, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at his residence surrounded by his loving family in Brownsville, Texas.

He entered the U.S. back in 1973, later he became a businessman for the Montelongo's Appliance Repair and Montelongo's Refresqueria and Restaurant. He was a very hard working, lovable, respectable, and humanitarian man as well as a member of Southmost Baptist Church. He will be dearly missed by all his friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gregorio Montelongo Rodriguez; mother, Santos Saucedo de Montelongo; sister, Maria Andrea Montelongo.

He is survived by his wife, Fidela Montelongo; daughters; Eneyda Navarro(Carlos) and Rosa Isela Montelongo; sons; Juan Montelongo (Lila), Hector Montelongo (Karina), Gerardo Hernandez(Leticia) and David Montelongo. Grandchildren; Nicholas, Juan Carlos, Ricardo Genaro, Ileana, Jackie, Andrea Montelongo, Gerardo, Crystal, Leonardo, Isabella Hernandez, Eneyda, Bertha Lopez and Lorenzo Gallegos; Sisters Elvia Montelongo de Rodriguez, Maria de Jesus Bernal, Gloria Montelongo de De los Reyes and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on April 21, 2011 from 1:00 pm to 9pm with a prayer service at 7pm at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.

Chapel Service will be held at 3pm on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.

Interment to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.

Serving as pallbearers will be Juan Montelongo, Hector Montelongo, Gerardo Hernandez, David Montelongo, Nicholas Montelongo and Carlos Navarro.
