Gene Green Obituary
88, of Indianapolis, entered into eternal rest May 16, 2017. He was born on August 1, 1928 in Knox County, Indiana to the late Alex and Ethel Green.
Gene proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Gene was the founder of Cardinal Accounts, Inc.
Gene loved to go golfing, spending time at his business, and with his family and friends. He spent several years renovating the Edwardsport Town Cemetery. Gene was a huge animal lover and enjoyed spending time and taking food to the Marion County Humane Society.
Gene is survived by his daughter, Susan (Randy) Wolfe; step-son, Walter Buchanan; two grandchildren, David Buchanan and Amy Shepherd; companion, Sherry Ransford; sister-in-law, Betty Green; two nieces, Julie Green, and Sally Pratt, and two nephews, Mike Green, and Mark Green.
Preceded in death by his wife, Clarann Green; and two brothers, Alex Green and Laddie Green.
Funeral services for Gene will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 19, 2017 at G. H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Ave. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. A Graveside service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Edwardsport Town Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Hospital for Children, 705 Riley Hospital Dr., Indianapolis, IN 46202.

Gene will be missed in our White Oak
Farms subdivision. He was one of the most interesting people I've ever met, and always had a story to tell. My thoughts are with his family during this most difficult time.

Gene was a wonderful friend of the family and loved my kids to visit when Sherree and Walt, Jake and Amy lived in Far Hills Woods.
I can always remember Gene being so good to the kids, and every time he saw my son, (he was age 2 at the time) and he'd give Michael a dollar.
I'd like to extend my prayers and condolences to the Buchanan family in Gene's memory, a wonderful family to Gene.
