Dear Mom: My sincere sympathy and love are sent to you during this most difficult time. Dad was a wonderful father-in-law to me. I always enjoyed our talks even though far and few between..He was truly a family man. He cared more for his family than anything else on earth. His happiest times were those spent with everyone being together.
He always tried so hard as the years went by and the family grew to bring everyone together for the holidays and summer time. He truly was the head of the Montgomery family and will be missed by all of us. May God give him eternal peace. Love, Connie

My condolences to Gene Jr, Kevin, Shawn, and of course my favorite English teacher Mrs. Montgomery on the loss of Gene Sr. He was a gentleman and always had a kind word and a nice tip for that kid on the bike who delivered newspapers back in the summer of 1969.
