Genell Williams Smith

Genell Williams Smith TRENTON - Genell Williams Smith age 90 passed away December 19, 2014 at home. Born in Swainsboro, GA, moved to New York in 1943, and later moved to Trenton in 1945. She was educated in the Swainsboro, GA school system. Genell was a Nurse for Mercer Medical Center for 35 years. She was a member of Wayne Avenue Baptist Church where she served as a Deaconess and served on the Ways and Means Committee. Preceded in death by her father Louis Williams Sr., step father Clifford Kirkland Sr., mother Elizabeth Kirkland, husband Larnie C. Smith, and daughter Genell Bridges. Genell is survived byher brothers Deacon Louis Williams Jr. (Bernice), Deacon Clifford Kirkland Jr. (Annette), brother-in-law Tom Smith, grandchildren Layton, Langdon, and Michelle Bridges, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, Wayne Avenue Baptist Church Family and Calvary Missionary Baptist Church Family, special friends Volia Lewis, Ella Barlow, and Deaconess Stout. Funeral service will be 12pm Sat Dec. 27, 2014 at the Wayne Avenue Baptist Church 30 Wayne Ave Trenton, NJ. Calling hours will be 10am until time of service at the church. Interment Ewing Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Hughes Funeral Home.
