REIDSVILLE — Genie Harris, 84, of 411 Walker Street in Reidsville, passed away early Thursday morning, December 6, 2012, at Hospice Home of Rockingham County in Wentworth.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 8, at Overlook Cemetery.
Mr. Harris was born June 11, 1928, son of the late Genie and Esther Patterson Harris. He was a member of Penn Memorial Baptist Church and a US Marine veteran, having served in Korea. He was a retiree of American Tobacco Company after 34 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian Moore Harris of the home and daughter, Gina Franklin and husband, Tony of North Myrtle Beach, SC
There will be no formal visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Rockingham County, PO Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375.
