Genoveva Alaniz Martinez

Genoveva Alaniz Martinez, 42, passed away Friday, August 15, 2008 in a Corpus Christi hospital following a sudden illness. She was born in Corpus Christi, Texas and had been a lifelong resident of Sinton and resided in the Annaville area for the past four years. She had been employed as an asset protection coordinator at the Walmart store in Portland, Texas. Survivors include: her son, Israel Martinez, III of Dallas, Texas; her daughter, Debra Lynn Martinez of Corpus Christi, Texas; her former husband, Israel Martinez, Jr. of Dallas, Texas; her mother, Alice Alaniz of Sinton, Texas; two brothers, Armando Alaniz, Jr. of Houston, Texas and Gabriel Alaniz of Corpus Christi, Texas and one grandson, Adrian Martinez of Dallas, Texas. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Monday, August 18, 2008 at the Ritchea-Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Paul Rajareegam, as celebrant.
