I will miss my grandfather. He was a great man who i will never forget. I loved him so much. I looked up to him and i try to be like him. He was everything i could ever want to be as a person. I will never forget that no matter when i saw him he was always smiling. And i will miss him so very much. I love you grandpa and i will never forget what you have taught me from your life, that no matter what, love can get you through anything.

Well, what can I say. George, my grandfather was the best grandfather anyone could ever have. I still wish that he would not have died especially in the pain he was in, but we all know that now he is in a wonderful place, watching over us all. I Loved him very much, so did my whole family. And we all miss him very much. As a father, grandfather, friend, and bus driver.

I sit here today with a sore chest, sad heart and tears blurring my vision. I just can’t believe he’s gone. In so short a time God has chosen to take from us the most compassionate, loving and generous man I have ever known. I would like to honor this cherished man by placing my feelings on these pages.
First and foremost, George was a beautiful man. Most will remember him as a loving husband and father and a true friend to all. To me, he was my best friend, my mentor, my teacher, my support, and the father of my wife. Over the past seven years, I’ve never thought of George as a father-in-law, he’s just been my dad. To me, losing George was like losing a major part of my life, a sunny and light-hearted part. I could always look to George when I was down and needed someone to cheer me up. In the twelve or so years I’ve known George he never failed me or let me down; he was always there ready to listen or lend a hand. George was a man of his word, if he said he would be there, he was. You could always count on him no matter what.
Anyone that knew George knew that he had a way of getting into your heart. With his gentle way and soft voice, you just couldn’t help but be captivated by the man. One thing that I will remember best about George is that he was the most openhanded man I’ve ever met, and at the same time, so reluctant to ask for help when he needed it. So much so that he often struggled by himself instead of asking for help. He would do this because he didn’t want to inconvenience anybody. On the rare occasions when you were fortunate enough to help, he was so genuinely grateful that it made you feel bad that you couldn’t help more.
In my life, I’ve never met a more altruistic man than George. He never once put himself first in anything we would do together, and it was nearly impossible to find out what he wanted to do. When asked, “What would you like to do, George?” His reply would always be, “Whatever you want to do.” This trait was never more evident than it was near the end of his life. As his health deteriorated, all that concerned him was his family and not wanting to be a burden on them. Of course, he wasn’t a burden, and any one of us would have gladly been by his side until the end of time. I know that when I think, “I loved this man and I will miss him dearly,” I am echoing the thoughts of many. Goodbye George we will miss you.

"george" the only reason i couldn't wait to get on the bus to go to school. My favorite seat? the one right behind the driver. Most people don't know that george was a long haul truck driver before becoming the best bus driver any school ever had. he knew i wanted to be a trucker when i grew up and he would tell trucker stories all the time and i loved hearing every one of them. I will always have a smile on my face when i remember those stories. He was a good man and I think he gave up trucking to spend more time with his family. I may not have seen him often in the past few years but I will never forget him and how he treated all "his kids" on the bus. George is on the highway to heaven, iI am sure of that.

George... Wow, what a good man he was. He was also a very good bus driver. He was my bus driver ever since i was in kingergarden. he drove in snow or rain, sun or cold, but always with a smile on his face. He was nice to every kid on his bus. he was an awesome person and treated everyone with kindness and respect. which was just what he got back in return. i knew george ever since i could remember. To Faye and Family: My sincere sympathy goes out to all of you during this difficult time. George was a great man, we had many wonderful experiences during our times at W.H. Grammar School. Some of them humerous and some of them not so funny but by is kindness and compassion we survived them all. He will be sadly missed by the entire community. My thoughts and prayers are extended to you all.

Our father was indeed the greatest man we have ever known. He was everything that everyone here has said he was; Loving, Kind, Generous, and Happy. It was a blessing in our lives to have had him for a father. We will treasure and adore him for all eternity. We thank all who have taken the time to leave these very kind notes and for all the support we have received from the community during this difficult time.
