I thank God for Mike and his influence in my life! As with so many others that have left reasons why they respected and appreciated him I share those too but my will "never forget" moment was when I was working at First Baptist when Michael was fighting his own health issues he took the time to pick up the phone and personally thank me!

I am so sorry to hear about Mike's passing and want to extend my deepest sympathy to his family. I work for Jr. and Sr. years ago. He gave me my first job out of college and both became my mentors. Jr. and my Father were good friends for years and I just know that Mike and Darlene, Harold and Dorothy are sharing many stories about us kids! Mike III and his family and all the Barth family will be in my prayers..."Thank you Mike Jr. for the kindness and opportunities that you extended to me, my husband, and my son." Mary J. Taylor ("Little Bit" as they used to call me)

Mike Barth was a passionate man - we worked together at the Near North Development Corp. during its early years -- I don't think he ever made a decision about his business/location when he did not take into account the long view for tthe area. That's quite admirable. RIP, Mike.

I was sorry to hear about Mike's passing, but know he is in a better place, due to having helped and supported so many people. I was Mike's secretary for the first few years of my 19 years at Barth and he always encouraged me to be my best. I will always appreciate the Barth family and the big part they played in my career and life.

I'll always remember Mike as a good friend, as a fellow PTPM, as a man dedicated to serving his community, as a visionary for his company, and as a dedicated Mason who exemplified its precepts. I had many meetings with Mike and got to know him quite well. He was kind, humble, and self-effacing. It was a privilege to have known him. Alan G. Lisle, 33rd.
