I met Scott in 1990 working together at GC Services. Scott had all the attributes of a good man and a loyal friend. We maintained our friendship through the remainder of his life.
Scott could always be relied upon for good conversation, staunch support, or lively argument, whether it was music, sports, or politics. (If I disagreed with him, I made a point to not gamble on my perspective. Bad idea.)
Scott and I played dozens of rounds of golf together. His droll sense of humor kept me smiling through some terrible shots. We went to ballgames at the Astrodome and the Juice Box, where he showed me around the non-public areas. I was always glad when I got to introduce him to my family and friends. I just liked being around him.
You are sorely missed, my friend. Your memory will be with me forever.

I´m so saddened by the lose of a great friend. I will miss our long talks and us almost finishing each other sentences. We shared a lot of good times together, and late night dinners and talking to each other till one of us fell asleep.. I miss hearing your voice, laugh, and your sense of humor.. You will be greatly missed. You were such a dear dear genuine friend. Sleep with the angels until we meet again. Take it easy. 7:14pm/am...

Brother Scotty,
What an amazing person you are, thanks for spending some time with me!
You fought heroically, but your our season has passed and with it the pain you endured.
You fought with a smile and showed so much bravery and courage daily but your smile was infectious and humor kept rising to the hour.
Thank you Marci for introducing us; you are a genuine friend!
To Cathy and family my heart goes out to you all!
Love,
David

The first time I saw you were in the Parking lot at our Apt complex 13 years ago. You were wearing your crimson tide. Roll tide roll shirt. And I was like. Oh, so you like Alabama and you were like? Yes, I do, and that was it from there!!! We were inseparable. I will miss you forever. But I promise we'll see each other again. There are so many memories we made you will have a place in my heart forever and ever until I see you again.. like you always said Take it easy.....Love you infinity you're Mars... fly high free bird

I've known Scott for 16 years. He was fiercely independent, loved to gamble, and a good friend. I took care of him for a while when he was going through his cancer treatments. He talked a lot about his sister Catherine and his mother whom he missed very much. There's a lot of things we didn't agree on but we were still good friends. He would call and come visit me in Lake Charles after I moved back. You were never far from my mind and I was always checking on you even when I couldn't find you this last go around. Will miss that funny laugh that you had. Glad you had someone with you at the end because I wouldn't have been able to do it, it would have grieved me too much. Just sorry I didn't get to talk to you one more time. Sheryl
