Bill's family, While my parents (Emily & Ruby Duffala) and I were members of St. Nicholas, there was a special kinship because of your father. He got me through many surgeries on my eye, and Bill lived out the compassion and love you all learned as children. He will be missed.

Dear Family of Bill Thegze,

On behalf of the Gavit High School Class of 1966, I extend our deepest heartfelt sympathies to you all.

As you know, Bill was the valedictorian of our class. He was more than that to me. Bill was my classmate, my bandmate, my football teammate, my summertime coworker at Cities Service Refinery when we were in college, a loyal alumnus, a humorous fellow with a dry wit, and a friend. Our classmates and I shall miss him, and we grieve his passing.

We wish you comfort in your memories of happy times together with Bill.

With our sincere sympathies,

Mark N. Lundgren

I was heartbroken to hear the news. Such fond holiday memories of Bill, Bob, Tom and Mary Kay when we were kids eating ham balls at Christmas in Hammond. Bill was such a smart, funny, kind and talented guy. Sending love and deep condolences to everyone.
