Linda, I'm so very sorry for your loss. George was our neighbor and friend for 12 years, and we loved him. We have great and funny memories of him, and still laugh to this day at some of them. Like the time my husband had caulked our shower, but had to be at work, so he just showed up at George's door with a bar of soap and a towel, and asked George if he could use his shower. George never even asked why, but just stepped aside and said "sure! Come on in." We still laugh at what an odd request that must have seemed like, but George never even looked at him funny. That's the type of man George was. Always helpful, and his sense of humor was amazing. We will miss him.
