George Edward Bryans George Edward Bryans, age 84, of Old Turnpike Road, Culpeper, Virginia and formerly of Mount Vernon, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 25, 1926 in Mount Vernon, Ohio to the late John and Jennie (Anderson) Bryans. George served in the United States Army from 1944 to 1947 and retired as a supervisor from Rockwell International after 23 years of employment. He belonged to Crusaders Lodge #720 F.&A.M., Newark, Ohio, Scottish Rite, York Rite degrees Chapter, Council & Commandery. George always had a smile on his face and a laughter you couldn't forget.

He is survived by two daughters, Sue Bryans of Culpeper, Virginia and Brenda Bryans of Warrenton, Virginia, five grandchildren, Jeffrey (Julie) Kempton, Shawn (Buffy) Kempton, Nikki (Rob) Toler, Erik (Shannon) Hansen and Michael Bryans and five great-grand-children, Tyler and Amber Kempton, Jordan Kempton, Matthew and Caiden Toler and a great-great-grand-son, Jaxon Kempton.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Helen Bryans and a brother, John Bryans.

Friends may call on Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050 where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Burial with military honors will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens.
