George Creek Obituary

Edward Creek, 92, of Greenwood, died Friday, April 1, 2011 in Greenwood. He was a retired public school custodian, a Sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Corps, a veteran of World War II, and a member of the Echo Assembly of God Church.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 4 at McConnell Funeral Chapel in Greenwood, with burial at Pilot Prairie Cemetery in Waldron. Viewing will be 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Survivors include his wife, Betty; one daughter, Sheryl Creek of Greenwood; four sons, Edward Creek of Huntsville, Steven Creek of Lavaca, George Creek of Danville, and Jeffery Creek of Caulksville; one brother, James Creek of Tulsa, OK; twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.
