Rev. Dr. George Leroy Cumberbatch

Funeral Service for the late Rev. Dr. George L. Cumberbatch, age 75 years, of Teach Place, Grand Bahama and Pastor of First Baptist Church, Freeport, Grand Bahama, will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 10:00 am, at First Baptist Church, Columbus and Nansen Drive, Freeport, Grand Bahama. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Keith Russell. Interment will follow.

Precious and loving memories will forever linger in the hearts of his devoted wife: Theresa Cumberbatch; two daughters: Crystal Hicks and Zehira Cumberbatch; two sons: Kevin and Azaryah Cumberbatch; six brothers: Joseph, Basil, Kenneth, Samuel and Paul Cumberbatch and Eldrige Smith; five sisters: Wallis Sargent, Dorothy Miller, Regina Huyler, Claudia Knowles and Kathy Smith; mother-in-law: Thelma Farquharson; brothers-in-law: George Albury, Craig Miller, Philip Huyler; William Knowles, Sr., Troy Hanna, Perry Hanna and Leo Hanna; sisters-in-law: Grace, Thelma, Judith, Jere and Sybilene Cumberbatch; son-in-law: Kirk Hicks; grandchildren: Kyle and Kent Hicks and Ian Cumberbatch; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives; his friends and church family and his pets: Sarah and Romeo Cumberbatch.

Viewing will be held at First Baptist Church, on Friday, May 20, 2011 from 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm and on Saturday, May 21, 2011 from 8:30 am until service time at the church.
