George Joseph Del Giudice

George Joseph Del Giudice, 84, of Fenwood Grove Rd., Old Saybrook, died Monday, (October 21, 2002) at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown. He was the beloved husband of Rose Marie (Solitario) Del Giudice; son of the late Tobia and Marta (Verroca) Del Giudice. He was born in Hoboken, NJ on July 22, 1917. Mr. Del Giudice was a World War II Army veteran, and has resided in Old Saybrook for the last 22 years, moving from Cleveland, OH. Mr. Del Giudice retired after 30 years from the Higbee Company in Cleveland, OH, where he was a clothing salesman. He will be sadly missed by family and friends. Besides his wife of 55 years, he is survived by a son, Tobia Del Giudice and his wife Rory of Old Saybrook; a sister, Palma Didier of Old Saybrook; and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 24, 11 a.m., at the Swan Funeral Home, 1224 Boston Post Rd., Old Saybrook. Family and friends may call at the funeral home TODAY, 5-7 p.m. Burial will be Friday, October 25, 11 a.m., at Gates of Haven Cemetery in Valhalla, NY, with Military Honors.
