George "Don" Liebsch

George Donald "Don" Liebsch of Hatboro, formerly of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania died Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Memory Care at the Park. He was 87 years old. Don was born August 29, 1936 in North Wildwood, New Jersey, son of the late Joseph Peter Liebsch and the late Alice Agnes Liebsch (nee - Meaney). He is the beloved husband of Helen Rose (nee Sullivan) Liebsch; father of Donald and his wife Georgina and Daniel and his wife Shelley; grandfather of Josey and Max, Greyson, and Archer. brother of John Liebsch, Alice McMenamin, and Joan Kilpatrick, the late Joseph and the late Robert Liebsch.

Don was raised and educated in Philadelphia. He was a 1956 graduate of North Catholic. He worked as a Philadelphia Firefighter for many years starting at Engine 55 and Ladder 22 at Front and Luzerne and later moving to Engine 71 Ladder 28 at Cottman and Lorretta. He enjoyed Golf and played as much as he could into his early 80's. He was a proud member of Little Mill Country Club in Marlton, NJ. He and Helen enjoyed traveling especially their trips to Florida and Hawaii as well as shorter adventures to the local casinos.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Monday, June 24, 2024 from 9:30 to 10:25 A.M. and Funeral Mass at 10:30 A.M. at St. Cecilia Church, 535 Rhawn Street, Philadelphia, PA 19111. His graveside service will follow with military honors rendered by the United States Navy at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3301 West Cheltenham Avenue, Cheltenham, PA 19038.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Tunnels to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306.
