Met George when he visited Greece for a series of seminars in 1995. I am so sorry to hear of his passing even so many years later. At the time we met I was serving at the US Embassy in Athens and his expertise in women's traumas from the next door Balkan wars, in which many of us were involved, was the reason he was invited to Greece. All I can say is that his short time in Greece changed several people's lives for the better. And I hope somebody will say something similar for me if not for all of us after we are gone. Rest in Peace, dear friend!

I just heard the news about George. I was a patient & peer counselor at the MS clinic in Framingham. He was an intrigal part of the medical team. He was a complete joy to work with, both as a doctor, and as an MS clinic team member. He's one of the kindest, compassionate, knowledgeable men I've known. He will be missed.

I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of George Ellsworth. He was at his core, a kind and compassionate human being. Certainly a perfect foundation for a physician, but also making him an absolute blessing to work with and befriend. I am not likely to encounter a gentleman of his ilk again.

Mara and Max, I am so sorry to read about George's passing. I am glad that I had time to see him on the evening after the block party and share memories and a long chat in your kitchen. My condolences to your family and I hope to attend the memorial service.

We met on July 1, 1969 and shared so much in those years. Too many memories and a huge loss for those who knew him. Service I and so much more.
