To our dearest Dad, Father in law, Grampa and friend to family, I will miss our Tuesday visits and short chats on the phone during the work day. I will always cherish the many stories you told about meeting mom and growing up in Saskatchewan. We know you 'll be beside us in line waiting for a farmers sausage in Lacombe. Always in our hearts, Lyal and Kate.

Dear Grandpa, for me you were the epitome of strength and love. Although you are no longer on this earth you will forever be in my heart and I know that when I need to be strong or feel loved you will be there. I love you.
P.S. Please give Grannie a big hug for me.

There are no words to describe what an amazing Grandfather you were. When I was little you were my hero, my cowboy. Now that I have grow up and have a child of my own you are even more of a hero. You are a hero for all that you did, all the time that you spent and gave to your own children and grandchildren. You will never be forgotten. You and Grandma have left a legacy that will last forever.

Lyal/George & Families, no loss is easy and especially this time of year. Many Christmas' to come will be painted with this sad reminder of your loss. However, since it is a "special" time of year it is of great importance that someone more powerful than all of us mere mortals has decided your father is needed elsewhere.
Since the two of you have always been there for me, I hope you will now turn to others in your time of need.
No good turn is forgotten and life is intertwined with those lives of others which make us smile.
Warm Thoughts,
Wendy Makarchuk

My dear, sweet Grandfather!
You were a friend, when I needed one...
You made me laugh, held my hand, and gave me comfort...for this I am truly grateful!
I was so proud to call you my Grandpa!!
Thank you...
I will miss you terribly.
Love, Shelley
