Frank Emil Johnson, III entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 24, 2017. Devoted husband of 60 years to Catherine Maucele Johnson, Loving father of Cynthia Jude Johnson of New Orleans. Pre deceased by his parents, Frank Emil Johnson, Jr. and Catherine Fitzpatrick Johnson and his sister Mary Elizabeth "Beth" Colon. Frank is also survived by his sister sister Grace Burleigh and brother Thomas Johnson and numerous loving nieces, nephews and other relatives. Frank had many longtime friends who he and Catherine traveled with extensively over the years. Some of those travel stories will live on through all those family generations. Frank was owner of METFAB, which he operated until he was 80 years of age. He was well-loved and will be deeply missed and never forgotten by those whose lives he touched. He was a very devout Catholic and yearly retreated to Manressa House in Convent, LA. Frank taught Catechism classes at Resurrection and Holy Rosary. He graduated from Jesuit High School in New Orleans. He graduated from Loyola University where he graduated with a business degree. Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at 12:15 pm on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017 in the J. Garic Schoen Chapel of JACOB SCHOEN & SON, 3827 Canal Street. Visitation will begin at 10:30 am and continue until Mass time. Interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery on City Park Ave., New Orleans. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or The Wounded Warrior Project. Condolences may be expressed at www.schoenfh.com

My deepest condolences go out to you, Miss Catherine and Cindy.He was a wonderful man who did so much for so many people over the years. I got to see him last year at Manresa and he seemed very happy to be there. I know it was good to see him after so many years. But being at Manresa meant I didn't get to talk to him much.
