George Gann Obituary
AGE: 35 • Freehold
George Edward Gann, III, 35, of Freehold, passed away, Saturday, December 24, 2011, at home. He was born in Landstuhl, Germany. George worked as a patient care associate with Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. He was a member of the East Freehold Volunteer Fire Company; and he served his country in the U.S. Navy, during peacetime.
George was predeceased by a brother, Daniel Gann. He is survived by his wife, Monica Gann; his children, Tyler, Brandon, Dylan and Riley Gann; his mother, Sharon King of Matawan; his father and stepmother, George and Helene Gann, Jr. of South Carolina; his siblings, JoAnn Dressel of Orrville, OH; Michele Sakowski and her husband, Steven of Matawan; Christopher Gann and his wife, Tara of Beachwood; David Gann of Newport News, VA; his two grandmothers, Virginia King of Holmdel; and Catherine Gann of Chesney, South Carolina; several aunts and uncles; eight nieces and nephews; numerous cousins; and his beloved dog, Reese. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Family and friends are invited Wednesday, December 28, 2011, 1-4 & 6-9PM, at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport; and Thursday, December 29, 2011, 9AM, with a 10AM service at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Shoreland Memorial Gardens, Hazlet. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to George's children. My thoughts and prayers are with the Gann family. I only knew Mr. Gann through his boys but it was obvious how much they loved each other. God Bless the boys and Monica through the difficult journey ahead.
