My condolences to the family, I recently learned of George's passing. He was always such an advocate of literacy, and encouraged all of us to go forth in our creative endeavors. You will be dearly missed.

We were so saddened to learn of George's passing. George was a professional through and through... to teaching, to his colleagues and above all, to his students. George's love of his family was unquestioned. He was a kind friend and will be missed by all who knew and appreciated him. Our deepest sympathies to the family, especially George"s children and siblings, and we will continue to keep you all in our thoughts and prayers. Frank and Bernadette Garritty
