George L. Graham was born June 9, 1910 in Chelsea, Iowa to parents Ed Graham and Thankful Etta Billick Graham. He had one brother Clyde and two sisters Bethel and Grace. He spent his formative years living in Brooklyn, Iowa.
He worked on various local farms in Iowa and then the Shoe Factory in Grinnell, Iowa.
In 1937 he married Pauline Gwin in Grinnell. During WW II he went to work at the Glenn L. Martin Airplane plant in Omaha, Nebraska and helped make B-29 planes in the war effort. After the war they moved to Waterloo, Iowa where George worked at the John Deer Tractor Company. He then went to work in the construction business for a few years and then moved to Wichita, Kansas where he started working at Boeing which led to a transfer to the Renton, Washington Boeing plant in 1957 and continued working for Boeing until his retirement in 1975.
He accepted the Lord as His Savior and was baptized in Omaha, Nebraska in 1945 and is a current member of Puyallup Community Baptist Church in Puyallup, WA.
George is survived by a daughter Janice Graham and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Pauline (2003), his parents, brother Clyde, sisters Bethel Mullen and Grace Ochs.
He was a gentle man who loved people, always had a joke to share, and enjoyed telling stories and reciting poems. You always felt uplifted after talking with him. He brought sunshine into a room and others were drawn to him as well as he showed the love of his Savior, Jesus Christ.
