GEORGE GUNDERSON Obituary
George Gunderson, a longtime resident of Green Valley, Arizona, passed away peacefully Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016. He was 90 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Louise, and her daughter Vicki. In addition, two sons, Richard and Thomas, children of his first marriage. A third son, Stuart, is deceased. Marjorie, their mother and George's first wife, died in 1996. There are five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Born in Berlin, Wisconsin, George graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1947. He was an entrepreneur engaging in several businesses before establishing Badger Food Machinery, providing equipment to the canning industry. He held several board chairmanships in the industry, as well as serving as president of a local bank.
He was proud to have been a Boy Scout. While in Green Valley he was a Rotarian and a Knight of Columbus. He loved gardening, was out-going, friendly and helpful to all. He will be sorely missed.
Donations may be made to the Most Holy Nativity Church in Rio Rico, Arizona in lieu of flowers. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, Nov. 21, at 10 am at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Green Valley.

George was/is my maternal uncle ~ my beloved mother was/is his sister ~ she joined him on the Other Side; her passing was utter PEACE on 18th of March at 3:31 - 3:33 am. I have a great memory of Uncle George - which my parents loved too - he absolutely delighted (and commented enthusiastically) on my hats - in my teens through 30's I'd say. So this was age of 35 into 50's for Uncle George! Always delighted to see me in those growing years!
