Dear Aunt Edna,

I am without words to say how sorry I am for the loss of Uncle George. He was your lifelong partner. You were always a pair in everything, something we all cherished. I know his passing is impossibly hard for you. Uncle George was a great man and we all loved him for the many achievements during his life (for which we were all so proud) and for his role as the patriarch of our extended family. I'm sorry I couldn't get there for the funeral, I only found out about it late the night before. But I was there in my thoughts and prayers. And you, Maria, and Martha will remain in my prayers and thoughts. I will see you this spring. With all my love, John Jr.

Dear Edna and family,

I am so sorry to hear that George has passed on. I have fond memories of him and of you, Edna, when I used to stay with Ann Hummer in Santa Monica. We both were invited to dinner at your house when Eddie was visiting from back east , I believe. I remember my Uncle John being very concerned about George when he and Carol were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary in Ventura. I guess George showed him by a couple of years. We were so sorry to lose Uncle John. I was in Spokane when he died and knew he was a wonderful man. They were good men, and will be missed by many. Sincerely, Mary Kay (Ravarino) Erickson
