Graveside services for Mr. George C. Kennedy, 64, Tyler, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2015, in Prospect Cemetery, Overton.

Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery, Overton, under direction of Commu-nity Funeral Home of Tyler. Mr. Kennedy died June 7, 2015, at Mother Frances Hospital.

He was born Nov. 30, 1950, in Overton and had resided his lifetime in Smith County. He attended Chapel Hill High School and Kilgore College. He was a member of El Bethel Baptist Church and a choir member. Mr. Kennedy retired as an expeditor from United Technologies.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and one sister.

Survivors include spouse of 43 years, Shirley M. Hall Kennedy, Tyler; son, Christopher G. Kennedy, Dallas; two daughters, Regina R. Kennedy and Stephanie Y. Kennedy, both of Tyler; five brothers, Billy J. (Evelyn) Kennedy, Horace (Linda) Kennedy, Frank (Beulah) Kennedy, Leonard Kennedy and Buford Kennedy, all of Tyler; three sisters, Virgie Myles, Barbara (Johnny) Hall, Debra (Dennis) Tate, all of Tyler; five grandchildren, Dameon Kennedy, Nicolas Kennedy, Jermicheal Johnson, Mya Regynae Kennedy, all of Tyler, and Dominique Kennedy, Temple; and aunt, Jo Burch, Terrell.

The family will received friends on Tuesday, June 9, 2015, from 7 to 8 p.m. at Community Funeral Home of Tyler.
