RED SPRINGS — Ms. Brenda Cummings was born in Washington, D.C. on Feb. 1, 1963, to the late Donald Foy Cummings and Annie Pearl Cummings, and entered into the Lord's presence on Dec. 6, 2022, completing her journey of 59 years.
Brenda is survived by her sisters, Barbara Oxendine, Sally Locklear, Louise Maynor, Eunice Chavis, Sheryl Griffin, Donna Ogden, Phyllis McNeill, Sheila Cummings and Connie Cummings; brothers, Randall Cummings, Michael Cummings, Robert Cummings, William Wright, and William Aaron Cummings; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, and a flock of church family.
Brenda is proceeded in death by her father, Donald Cummings; mother, Annie Pearl Cummings; brothers, Jerry, Timothy, Henderson, Carlton, Ronald, and Raymond; and sisters Carolyn and Amelia, and grandparents Foy and Hildeth "Bloss" Cummings.
Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of all who knew her. The family thanks friends and the community for your continued support and prayers during this difficult time.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, 2022 at God's Holy Assembly in Shannon.
The funeral will be held on at noon Saturday, Dec.10, 2022 at God's Holy Assembly. Burial will follow at Lumbee Memorial Gardens.
Services entrusted to Boles Funeral Home of Red Springs.
