Columbus, GA- Mr. George Jefferson McFolley, Sr., 71, of 2506 Bell Street, Columbus, GA passed Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. EST, Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Allen Temple A.M.E. Church, Columbus, GA with Rev. Wayland Conner, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Columbus, GA. Visitation is today from 1 - 8 p.m. EST. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 - 7 p.m. EST according to Taylor Funeral Home, Inc.
Mr. McFolley was born November 30, 1941 in Omaha, GA to the late Lott McFolley, Sr. and the late Marie Tolbert McFolley. He was a member of Allen Temple A.M.E. Church, a graduate of Lumpkin High School and had retired from Sunshine Biscuits.
Survivors include one son, George McFolley, Jr. of Columbus, GA; one daughter, ShaRhonda (Darren) Long of Phenix City, AL; two brothers, Harvey (Geraldine) McFolley, Sr. and Anthony (Rosemary) McFolley both of Columbus, GA; three sisters, Bereathy Council, Joyce Walker and Wanda (Gerald) Cobb all of Columbus, GA; three grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

family, just want to say I am sorry for the loss of our beloved GEORGE, he was truly a good guy always gentle and making a difference. I couldn't have asked for a greater brother-in-law. may you always have the memories of this great man. GOD KNOWS JUST HOW MUCH YOU CAN BEAR! I love you (HARP) with all my HEART.
