Anita, you and Mike were a true example of partnership. The way you loved each other, supported each other and faced life´s challenges together was so inspiring. Whether it´s through tears, laughter or just a quiet moment, may you find some comfort in remembering the loved you shared. And to Marisa, you´ll always remember that special smile, his caring heart, his warm embrace he gave to you. Honor his memory and the incredible legacy he left behind.

My husband, John Dantis, & I have known Mike & Anita since the early 70's sharing alot of good times together. John was Mike's best man when we all drove to Las Vegas, Nevada! What a road trip that was, we thought it would never end. Laughter was always abundant when we got together either in Santa Fe or at our home in Las Vegas, NV. Friendships such as ours are very special & cherished. Mike & Anita were concerned & very supportive during John's unexpected illness & final passing in February 2024. Memories are very special & I'm sure everyone who knew Mike will treasure them. Mike is with everyone who passed before him, welcomed with open arms. God Bless you, Anita, for being such a wonderful wife for over 50 years. What a milestone. Even though it will be difficult, Life will go on without Mike, but you are a strong woman with a beautiful, supportive family to help out. My love & condolences to you all.

I have heard of Mike and Anita for so long from Sylvia. This particular one stood out .... On most evenings and after a long day at work, Mike drove a then 15-year old Sylvia and her mother from Santa Fe to ABQ and back to visit with her dying father during the many months he was hospitalized in ABQ. When I finally met Mike and Anita at Sylvia´s house, their deep love was undeniably present. No wonder Anita is referred to as "..... his beautiful "BRIDE" of more than 50 years ...." here in the obituary. Anita, Marisa, and Jenny, you have my deepest condolences in this difficult time.

Captain Scarborough - Mike -
What too many people never understand about life ís all of it:
When I say thank you for your service, it's for every single thing in this obit. Some make exceptional, extraordinary contributions. Some do the best they can. You set an example, showed leadership. You did good, thank you. Vaya con dios.

Aww beloved brother-in-law I can´t believe you are gone. You were the steady presence in our lives that saved us when our father passed away. Thank you for always being there for us. I will miss your keen intellect and wicked wit but most of all we will miss your strong moral compass and unfailing integrity that made you the great man you were. We miss you already. Vaya con dios.

My deepest condolences to you, Anita. I met Mike and you only once at Sylvia´s house years back but that love and harmony between the two of you was so deep and unwavering that I can still feel it today. That explained why you were referred to as "his "bride" of more than 50 years" here in this obituary. Be comforted in the fact that even the love of your life is in the Kingdom of our Lord now, you will still feel his undeniable love for you here forever and ever.

Mike was a wonderful cousin who always welcomed me with a warm and caring smile. He had a great sense of humor and I loved our long conversations-he was knowledgeable about such a variety of topics and shared so many family stories with me. Thank you Cousin Mike for your love and kindness throughout my life.
