I just saw this. I am Skipper´s cousin. I grew up either at my grandmother or his grandparents house and we had a great time. My family went fishing with his a number of times.
Unfortunately, I moved to the east coast back in 1989 and lost track of most of my mom´s family.
Skipper was a great guy. I have wonderful memories of our two families. My grandmother was Laura Reese Doty.

Humor, humility, and service to others are the things I remember most about George. And fishing, of course. Being his friend was an honor. He taught me much about many things, always with his special humor.

He could always share a laugh with you. He had a great sense of humor, was full of wisdom, and you could trust that he was going to be genuine with you.

George, you gently touched more lives than you ever knew. I'll never forget your calm guiding hand at the group and the loyal loving way you and Red saw out my mentor Gil. Catch you on the flipside, George. <3
