George Morgan Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 18, 2025.
George Francis Morgan, 61, of Wilton, CT, passed away on April 23, 2025, in his Naples, FL home.

George was born on September 21, 1963 in East Landsdowne, PA to Robert and Jane (McCalla) Morgan. He graduated from Monsignor Bonner High School and embarked on what would be a lifetime career in the financial markets. George's early professional years began at the Philadelphia Stock Exchange on the equity options floor. His drive, dedication and passion for the markets led him to a management role on the foreign exchange options floor as a Senior Vice President at Lehman Brothers. George later transitioned to the natural gas and energy markets. A loyal and dedicated employee, George spent more than twenty-two years as a broker with Tradition Financial Services (TFS), a firm where his peers and leaders would truly become family.

George was a devoted spouse to Tracey (Meyers) Morgan, proud father to Katie (Morgan) Fisher and Chris Morgan, overjoyed grandfather to Rory Fisher, and earnest friend to all. He was passionate about Philadelphia sports teams, playing weekly tennis, and planning annual family vacations. Most prominently, George loved fatherhood. During Katie and Chris's youth, George never missed a ski race, baseball game, or Father-Daughter dance. As his children became adults, he never missed an opportunity to do an airport pickup, sport a t-shirt representing one of their schools or companies, or share footage of his grandson. George is fondly remembered as a proud, present, and supportive father.

George was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Jane; his brother, Thomas Morgan; and sister-in-law, Carol Morgan. He is survived by his wife of thirty-two years, Tracey Morgan; children Katie (Brad) Fisher and Chris (Skyler) Morgan; grandchildren Rory and Jamie Fisher; and siblings Robert Morgan and Helen (Greg) Sciubba.

Friends and family are invited to a Memorial Mass in George's honor on Saturday, September 6th at Saint Philomena Roman Catholic Church, 41 E. Baltimore Avenue, Lansdowne, PA 19050. A eulogy will begin at 10:15 am followed by the Memorial Mass at 10:30 am.

My heart is broken. I met George on the first day he started work on the Option Floor. We became friends right away. George always had a big smile to share with everyone. We worked and played together. I watched him fall in love on the currency floor with Tracy and get married. We always kept in touch after he left the Philly floor. I will always remember George as the smiling, kind, sweet man.

I'm so sorry for the families loss. I knew George from the Philadelphia Stock Exchange many years ago. He was always very nice and always had the brightest smile. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you during this difficult time.

Katie, Tracey and Chris
We are so sorry for your loss. Having only met George a handful of times, we all felt like we knew him so well as Katie talked about him everyday we saw her - and that was a lot! How lucky you all are to have had such a loving and devoted Dad and husband in your lives. When Katie would tell stories of her Dad, it was always with a smile and usually a bit of laughter. Cherish the memories and pass them on to Rory and Jamie......
With so much love - Carolyn , Connor and Cassidy Kepcher.
