George MUCHA Obituary

Published by Edmonton Journal from Dec. 8 to Dec. 9, 2016.
MUCHA, George
After a long struggle with illness, George Mucha passed away on Saturday, December 3 at his home with his wife of 63 years, Alice, by his side. He was 86 years.
George will be lovingly remembered by his wife; three children, Marilyn (Len Chanasyk), Terry (Jim Loree) and John (Michele); his cherished grandchildren, TJ Townsend (Kim McInnes), Tim Lynn, Ashton Mucha, and step-grandchildren, Brett and Daniel Loree. He also leaves his devoted sister, Helen Biltek; her son, David (Margaret Kirwan) and their daughters, Jennie and Nancy. George was predeceased by his parents, John and Suzanna Mucha; his in-laws, Matt and Tillie Suchodolski, and brother-in-law, Alex Biltek. Despite very humble beginnings, George found success developing Dynamic Transport into a 50-year, family-owned business and partnered to form Bolder Concrete. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and the many who admired his wisdom and regarded him as a father figure.
Divine Liturgy Saturday, December 10 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 9507 Austin O'Brien Road (95 Avenue and 64 Street) with Reverend Julian Bilyj officiating. Interment in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the CK Hui Heart Centre, Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation, 10240 Kingsway, Edmonton, T5H 3V9 or a charity of your choice. https://rahf.akaraisin.com/ Donation/Event/DonationType.aspx? seid=11297&mid=48&Lang=en-CA
