Mr. Mulligan was my wrestling Coach & Psychology teacher at Bay High School 1960-62. When I was planning to attend our class 55th reunion in Oct 2017 one of my lady class mates who walked with George most mornings contacted me via email & ask if I was on the wrestling team, I said "yes & why?" She said Mr. Mulligan was asking for me, I shared a photo of the wrestling team from the school newspaper & ask her to invite Mr. Mulligan to our class reunion which she did. The reunion was only one night but I spent most of it talking to George & found out we had both been Navy pilot, George entering the Navy 10 years before me, strangely I never recall him talking about been a Naval Aviator. Anyway we spoke most of the night & met the next morning for coffee & more talk; I had so hoped to visit with him more in future visits. I have the greatest respect for Mr. Mulligan & hope I can consider him a FRIEND. R.I.P.

I met George during my time with the Panama City Runners Club in 1981. He was a talented athlete in every way. He had a love for life and for his family, who he was very proud of. I will miss George and his friendly welcoming smile that he gave me every time I saw him.

I knew the day would come when you would go see your wife and my mother Barbara Laird Welch Mulligan. I just did not expect you to leave so soon. Will always love you and for helping out anyone who would ask.

Dad, I will always remember you and Mom forever in my loving heart. You and Mom were the best parents ever and you showed us how to properly raise a family with love. I know Shaun loved you deeply. And I cannot express how much Ann and Kay adored you as a compassionate father. You're grandchildren also we're very fond of you and you're carrying friendship towards then. Dad you will live forever in our hearts and memory.

George was always an outstanding individual. I knew him from running and as a member of the Panhandle Runner's Club. He was a mentor and enthusiastic as a coach. George was a joy to be around. We will miss you!
