I was saddened to hear of George's passing. As a child growing up in Quarry co-op, George was never a fan of us skateboarding by his yard at the end of the path. After getting to know him more as I grew up, I realized it was because after his yard was a very busy and dangerous McCarthy Road. He was mainly concerned for our safety. George was a very nice neighbor who always stopped by our yard to talk. I know my parents enjoyed these conversations. Betty I am so very sorry for your loss. RIP Mr. Nolan. Thank you for being a great neighbor!

My sincere condolences to Betty and all the Nolan family.
While I hadn't seen George in perhaps three decades, I thought of him frequently. I have fond memories of working with George at Nortel in MOD1, where he was a production supervisor and I was a junior process sustaining engineer. His sense of humour was wonderful! On several occasions I chartered a coach to attend Montreal Expos games (back in the day!) and of course George was always first in line for tickets. On one memorable trip coming home late at night it was VERY foggy, and many of us were quite nervous. George, sitting in the front row of the bus, kept us entertained with his witty commentary and one-liners the entire trip!
May your fond memories bring you comfort at this difficult time and in the years ahead.

Thank you to all our families friends and to our relatives, who have showed their love and kindness over the years. Dad was a good man, father and husband and will be dearly missed. Please remember Mom not just in your thoughts and prayers, but in your future actions. She needs the love of friends and family more than ever. Dad will leave a big void in her life that will be hard to fill. Lots of Love
