Passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2006, at Kairos Dwelling in Kalamazoo. George was born in Murray City, OH, December 18, 1914, the son of George and Clara (Skidmore) Palmer. He served in the Army Air Corps during WWII and resided in Kalamazoo since 1951. He was owner of Citizen's Soft Water Co. from 1957 to 1975 and retired as a WMU employee in 1985. Surviving are his wife, Joyce (Lammers) Palmer; children, Steven (Darcy) Palmer of St. Charles, IL, and Ann Webb of Kalamazoo; grandchildren, Daniel and Kristin Webb, David and James Palmer; sister, Alice Andersen of Lincoln Park, MI; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 3 sisters. At his request, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation at the funeral home. Memorial services will be held 11 o'clock Wednesday morning, July 5, 2006 at Oakwood Bible Church, 4100 Oakland Drive, with Pastor Stephen Johnson officiating. Memorials may be made to Oakwood Bible Church or Kairos Dwelling. Arrangements by

Dear Aunt Joyce & Family,
We received the news of Uncle George's passing while a patient at the Kairos Dwelling. What a wonderful place for families to spend final days with their loved ones...a very special blessing for everyone.
We're praying that God's love, peace & strength will lift all of you through this challenging time.
