George Rhome Peredetto

Manteno - George Rhome Peredetto died Sunday, November 16, 2025 at the Veterans Home in Manteno, Illinois. George was the son of Louis Peredetto and Anna Emanuelson Peredetto. He was born in Morris, Illinois on March 16, 1944. He graduated from Morris Community High School in 1962. He enlisted in the United States Navy for 6 years and served honorably aboard the USS Jason. He married Pamela Johnson and they had 2 children: Gregory Peredetto and Paula Peredetto Drysch. He married a second time and that was to Ellen Phipps Kuriger. Ellen and George had 2 children: Nathan Peredetto and Valerie Peredetto Schavone. George was employed as a machinist for Caterpillar and Oscar Meyer. For 25 years he lived in Peoria, Illinois at Sharon Heath Care and St. Augustine Manor. In October 2023 he moved to the Veterans Home.

He is survived by his children: Gregory Peredetto, Paula Drysch and Valerie Peredetto Schavone; his stepsons Joseph Kuriger and Jason Kuriger; his stepsister Beverly Mansfield; and his loving friend to the end, Ellen Peredetto. George was predeceased by his parents, his stepfather Novell Ide, his son Nathan Peredetto and his brothers Louis, Joseph and Ernest Peredetto

Visitation will be at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 East Washington Street in Morris on Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 10:30 a.m. until time of funeral service 11:00 a.m. Father Thomas Theneth will preside and burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Morris.
