He died on Sunday, December 11th in a local hospital after an illness.
Bumpy as he was affectionately called, was born in Florence County to George and Alberta Tisdale Plowden, Jr. He attended the public schools of Florence County, graduating from Wilson High School in 1963. He was employed by Lazy Boy East for several years until he retired due to health problems.
Bumpy was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Anna Plowden Burrell.
Survivors are: his wife, Alberta Cooper Plowden; children, Michael (Luvenia) Tunstall, Remander (Ben) Johnson, Judith (George) Belin, Gloria (Darryl) Plowden-Charles and George Plowden; grandchildren, Kevin Plowden, Matthew Tunstall, Brittney Belin, Kendra and Darius Charles; brother, John (Pamela) Plowden; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
The family is receiving friends at 805 E. Pine Street, Florence. Memorial and Condolence messages may be mailed to Ideal Funeral Parlor, 106 E.

Sonnyboy, this is little Ed, that use to be at your house all the time, everyday, when I was a small
kid, Anna bell use to take me every-where. I am so sorrie to hear
about these two people that I care
for over the years. I know it is very hard to remember but, I use to
live between Mrs Dena and Mr Luis.
