George Rose Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 6, 2025.
George Rose, 77, of South Beloit, Illinois, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2025. Born on October 18, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois, George lived a full and vibrant life marked by deep love for his family and a joyful spirit that touched all who knew him.

George was the beloved husband of Donna Rose and a loving father to Kevin Caulkins (Amanda), David Vetter (Pan-Pan), Christina Rose-Ward (David), Brian Rose (Brianna), and Melissa Gearing (Darald). He took immense pride in his grandkids to Madison, Will, Hudson, Oliver, Carter, and Abigail. His grandchildren brought him endless joy, and he cherished every moment spent playing with them.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lorraine and William Rose; his brother, Bill Rose; and his sister, Barbara Rose. Their memories remained close to George's heart throughout his life.

George had a zest for life that was evident in everything he did. He was a die-hard Chicago Cubs and Bears fan, He found great pleasure in simple joys-fishing on quiet mornings, grilling out with loved ones, bowling, or sitting around a table playing cards. His sense of humor was ever-present; he loved telling jokes and bringing laughter to those around him. Whether sharing stories or cracking a well-timed joke, George had a gift for making people smile.

Above all else, George loved his family deeply. He was a loving and fun father and grandfather whose warmth and kindness left a heartfelt mark on those fortunate enough to know him. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched with his generous heart and playful spirit.
