Passed away peacefully at Lisaard House, Cambridge on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at the age of 83. He was born in Hungary and emmigrated to Canada from Germany in 1953. George is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Marie and their children George (Monique), Susanne Bewsher (Alan), Carol, Margaret, Michael (Olga). Proud Opa to Erin, Holly, Joey, Davey and Tommy. Pre-deceased by his parents George and Julia Zeitler and his brother Michael in Germany. He enjoyed skiing, cycling and dancing. George's family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 7:00 – 9:00 PM on Sunday, July 10th at Barthel Funeral Home (566 Queenston Rd. Cambridge, ON 519-653-3251). Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 11th at St. Clement's RC Church (745 Duke St. Cambridge, ON). The family wishes to thank the CCAC Palliative care team and the staff and volunteers at Lisaard House for their care and compassion. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Lisaard House, CMH Medical Day Care, or a charity of your choice.
