GEORGE SODINI Obituary
Age 86, formerly of Finleyville, died Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at Butler Memorial Hospital, Butler, PA. Born August 11, 1928, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Michele and Virginia (Ferrari) Sodini. George worked for over 30 years as a signalman for Penn Central, Conrail, and CSX Railroads, retiring in 1989. He was Catholic by faith. Stationed in Ft. Belvoir, Virginia he served in the United States Army during the Korean War. George loved the outdoors, and his hobbies included fishing and gardening. Many of his happiest memories were made while living and working in Monongahela. Surviving are his children, Michael (Karen) and Cheryl; his brother, Alfred (Helen); and sister, Hazel; his five grandchildren, Michael, Jenna, John, Lisa, and David; and many friends and family members. Friends will be received at the MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess Street, Monongahela, 724-258-6767, from 10 a.m. till Noon on Saturday, April 11, 2015, with a Blessing Service beginning at Noon with Fr. William Terza Officiating. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery (Carroll Twp.).
