TRIPP, George Lester Tripp Peacefully in Veteran's Care at Parkwood Hospital, London, Ontario, June 20, 2008 in his 97th year. Retired 1972 as manager, Bank of nova Scotia, Arnprior, Ontario after 43 years of service. He also served overseas from 1940 to 1945 as a Major in the Canadian Army with the Cameron Highlanders of Ottawa. Predeceased in 1998 by his beloved wife Lydia Louise (Bond) and dear brother Thomas Meredith Tripp in 1960. Dear father of Ian (Flora), Robert (Peter), Thomas (Karen). Loving grandfather of Cynthia (Mark) Strickland, David (Laura) Tripp, Meredith Tripp, Allan (Lindsay) Tripp, Eric (Julie) Tripp, Christopher MacIver. Proud great-grandfather to Benjamin, Mercede, William, Caroline, Halle. Uncle and great uncle to many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A private family gathering will celebrate his life and a plaque will be placed in his memory beside Lydia in Gibbons Park. A special thanks to the wonderful staff at Parkwood Hospital and to all the friends who visited and helped make Dad's last years so happy. Those who so desire may make a donation in his memory to Parkwood Hospital, London, Ontario.
