In loving memory of a great man. One of the best parts of living at Makaha Valley Towers was meeting and socializing with great people. Ed was one of them. He had a great sense of humor, a zest for life, and was a good friend to all. I am grateful to have known both Ed and Ann. A hui hou.

One of the best memories I have about my father-in-law is the day he taught me how to replace and glaze an old window pane. He was a patient teacher and quite the handyman. He would tackle many home fix it projects that most would run away from. Another good memory is the day we walked/swam out to Chinaman's hat, an islet, offshore of O'ahu, Hawaii. Low tide was the best so we could walk most of the way. Otherwise it was a long swim, and the tides could get a tad dangerous. We also had to keep a lookout for hammerhead sharks since it was their breeding ground. He was always ready for an adventure, though; so, he snorkeled along side me as I held tight to a boogie board. We shared a beautiful scene at Chinaman's hat that not many experience. He told me later, so I wouldn't freak out, that he saw the biggest moray eel he had ever seen--about six feet. Aloha
