Born August 23, 1936 in Dover NH, he was the oldest son of George E. Tuttle and Jessie E. (Fogarty) Tuttle.
He was raised on the family farm in North Berwick, Maine and graduated from Berwick Academy class of
1955.

George enlisted and proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1955 to 1975. He served in the
Vietnam war during 1969-1970 and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal. After over 20 years of service he
retired as a Senior Master Sergeant.

On September 6, 1959 he married Anne Caroline Varney of Berwick, Maine. They had three children and spent
38 wonderful years together before she died unexpectedly in May 1997. Anne was the love of his life and he
never married again.

After leaving the Air Force he worked for Tilcon Warren in North Berwick, Maine for several years before

time at his camp in Cambridge, Maine. During fishing season he liked being on his boat wherever the fish were
biting and was a member of the Pine Tree Bass Casters fishing club. He enjoyed watching sports and was a fan
of all the New England sports teams. He was a member of the Rollinsford, N.H. American Legion Post #47.

The Air Force gave George the traveling bug and he enjoyed traveling. His favorite place to go was Hawaii
where he enjoyed staying at Makaha Valley Towers on Oahu. He liked trips to Ireland, the Azores, and Mexico
plus, Japan and California where he visited his sons stationed in the United States Marine Corps. He also liked
visiting Alaska to fish for salmon and halibut. Moreover, he drove all across the United States in order to visit
with friends and family.

George is predeceased by his loving wife Anne, his parents George and Jessie Tuttle, his brothers Lawrence and
Paul Tuttle and Paul’s wife Janet Tuttle.

George is survived by his sons Michael E. Tuttle and his wife Mary of Phippsburg, Maine, Timothy J. Tuttle of
Berwick, Maine, and Christopher T. Tuttle and his wife Susi of Gardnerville, Nevada. He also leaves behind
his brother David Tuttle and his wife Lorraine of North Berwick, Maine, and his grandchildren Tyler E. Tuttle
of San Diego, California, and Desiree R. Tuttle, of NYC, New York.

Gorham. They made it possible for George’s wish to stay in his home to the end. Also the Douglas Wentworth

In loving memory of a great man. One of the best parts of living at Makaha Valley Towers was meeting and socializing with great people. Ed was one of them. He had a great sense of humor, a zest for life, and was a good friend to all. I am grateful to have known both Ed and Ann. A hui hou.

One of the best memories I have about my father-in-law is the day he taught me how to replace and glaze an old window pane. He was a patient teacher and quite the handyman. He would tackle many home fix it projects that most would run away from. Another good memory is the day we walked/swam out to Chinaman's hat, an islet, offshore of O'ahu, Hawaii. Low tide was the best so we could walk most of the way. Otherwise it was a long swim, and the tides could get a tad dangerous. We also had to keep a lookout for hammerhead sharks since it was their breeding ground. He was always ready for an adventure, though; so, he snorkeled along side me as I held tight to a boogie board. We shared a beautiful scene at Chinaman's hat that not many experience. He told me later, so I wouldn't freak out, that he saw the biggest moray eel he had ever seen--about six feet. Aloha
