I have the BEST childhood memories of spending time at your home on West 25th Street, and am so happy I was able to talk with George again at Westminster Family Medicine a few years ago. He was certainly a terrific man and will be sorely missed.

Corinne and Family, I was sorry to hear of your dads passing. I have memories of both of your parents being such nice people. I know what a difficult time this is for you all. Please know you're in my thoughts and prayers old friend.

I am so sorry for you loss. Mr. Vlahos was a great teacher. He made Chemistry a fun learning experience. He had a good sense of humor and incorporated that into his teaching. I feel blessed to have met him and had him as a teacher (Class of 1981 - Tech Memorial)

George was such a great guy and treated everyone with great respect.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. May God be with all of you at this difficult time in your life. What a great man George was. I will always be forever grateful for both his and Columbia's kind and encouraging words to me after many of my losses. I too went to college to become a teacher a little later while also working. During many visits to Dorothy's house or her family's special events, George and Columbia always made a point of asking how school was going for me. Thank you George and Columbia for all of your special prayers. It's people like you that make the world a better place.

A most interesting guy who loved life and his family - he did our taxes for many years and we always enjoyed visiting with him at that time. Love to all, especially Columbia and Darlene. You are a very special family who had a very special husband and father. God bless!

Always the teacher, I remember Billy and Chris counting the coins from his pockets when he was visiting. He certainly will live on through your memories of cherished times spent with him. Our sincere sympathies to Columbia and all of the Vlahos family. We were so sad to hear of the loss of one of the greatest men in Erie. Everytime I walked into his office, the first thing he asked me was "how is Mary?" (my wife). He was instrumental in building my business. I will never forget that he prepared a three-year projection for the bank loan and charged me nothing. George understood people and what they needed to make their dreams come true. A teacher to the end, he taught me to be a businessman with a heart. He will be missed.
