George Walters Obituary
He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 50 years, Debbie Walters; his brother, Bob Walters; his son, Jason; and his granddaughter, Darby.
George was a lifelong musician, avid bowler, and passionate supporter of the arts. Proud supporter of the University of Miami band, he went on to dedicate 34 years teaching as a band director for Miami-Dade County Schools. During much of that time he was also the assistant conductor of the South Florida Youth Symphony, an organization who's commitment to music education, and it's importance to young adults he valued greatly. Upon retirement, George enjoyed traveling across the United States with Debbie, spending time with a close-knit circle of friends, fellow bowlers, musicians, and campers.
He will be remembered for his warmth, creativity, and unwavering dedication to the people and passions he loved most.
