GEORGE WEISZ Passed away suddenly at home on November 14, 2010. He was born in Berlin, Germany on January 19, 1933 and grew up in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Graduated with Civil Engineering from the University of Buenos Aires and then by scholarship from General Motors Institute in Flint Michigan, a Masters Degree in Industrial Engineering. He worked for General Motors, retiring after 30 years. He passed away serving as the Oshawa Harbour Commissioner, and a member on the Committee of Adjustment. He was a loving husband to Marietta (Reich) Weisz, a wonderful father to Vivian, Patty and Richard. He loved his son-in-law Errol and his two granddaughters Sabrina and Rachel. He will be dearly missed. The service will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery (375 Mount Pleasant Road) on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. There will be a 'Celebration of Life' memorial at a later date, in Oshawa, Ontario. Donations may be made to The Canadian Diabetes Association.
