CARMEL – Georgia E.Brown, 85, was the second of three children born to Oliver and Ethel Miller. She was born in Elk Falls, Kansas on September 21, 1921. At an early age, she and her family moved to Southern California to the Long Beach-Compton area where she grew up. Georgia was a graduate of the University of Southern California, and after graduation from USC she worked as a stewardess for United Air Lines. She later taught school in Coronado where she met her future husband. She and Tom Brown were married on October 11, 1947 in Coronado. After many years as a Navy wife, she and her family settled in Carmel. She was an accomplished artist; she showed her works in several small galleries in Carmel and Tucson, Arizona, and was always more interested in painting than in selling.
Georgia is survived by her husband, Tom; her daughter, Olivia (Michael) of Quincy; her son, James (Donna) of Carmel; four grandchildren; Hobie (Jen), Jessica (Steve), Ezekial (Dessa), Jacob(Erin), and six great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Anne, and her two brothers, Vernon and Frances.
Funeral services will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church at Dolores and Ninth Street in Carmel, June 17, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials in her name be made to All Saints Episcopal Church, Post Office Box 1296, Carmel, CA 93921. The Paul Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Tom,
We share many memories of you and Georgia. I may just hike on down the back "driveway" and have a visit one of these days to get caught up. Anyway, my thoughts are with you. My son Curt also recalls nights in the fort over the garage with Jimmy, and sends his sympathies to you, Jim and Libby.
Love, Maggie Hays
